ob description The selected candidate will join the team responsible for coordinating the construction and validation of the high power RF Sources, which are part of Elettra in-kind contribution to ESS. He/she will oversee and support the design, developments, prototyping and construction of the RF Power Stations. He/she will be engaged in activities involving measurements, acceptance tests and validation of the single components and of the complete RF stations. The successful candidate will assist in drawing up technical reports and project documentation and in the deployment, installations and test activities onsite. Main working place is Elettra, but travels to and work at ESS, as well as at the involved suppliers premises will be required. Qualifications A university degree in one of the following fields is required: Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering or Physics. The following technical skills are requested: · knowledge of electronic, electrical engineering and telecommunication principles; · knowledge of RF measurements techniques. The following technical skills will be considered a plus: · familiarity with RF systems for particle accelerators; · familiarity with high power RF technologies; · familiarity in programming and automation systems; · familiarity with Matlab or LabVIEW tools or Electromagnetic simulation software; · experience in participation in research and development (R&D) projects and network activities. Good time management skills and ability to prioritize are expected, together with the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
